SHINCA, a Japanese lab-grown diamond jewellery brand, will hold its first pop-up event in Singapore from 28 November to 1 December 2024. The event coincides with the fifth anniversary of the IMAYO store at Isetan Scotts.

The pop-up will present a variety of jewellery collections, including coloured lab-grown diamonds. Displays will provide information on lab-grown diamond technology and how it differs from natural diamonds, with experts available to offer guidance.

The event will feature several highlights at the IMAYO Isetan Scotts store:

    • Exclusive Collections: The Coloured Lab-Grown Diamond Ring Collection will be available during the pop-up. New designs, including earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, will be offered as pre-sale items before their wider release. A Large Stone Collection will also be showcased as an exclusive to the store.
    • Jewellery Consultation: A jewellery coordinator from SHINCA Ginza will explain the design and production processes, provide updates on trends, and assist customers with jewellery selection.
    • Educational Displays: Displays will explain the lab-grown diamond creation process and highlight how they differ from natural diamonds.

The first 50 customers who make a purchase will receive a SHINCA-branded mirror. Isetan Privilege members will also receive a voucher valued at 10% of their purchase, redeemable at Isetan Scotts.

    Implications for the Jewellery Industry

The event reflects the increasing consumer interest in lab-grown diamonds within the Asia-Pacific region. For jewellers, it demonstrates the role of educational content in supporting product offerings and improving customer awareness of lab-grown diamond features.

The pop-up also reflects an increasing focus on creating tailored, exclusive experiences to differentiate brands in competitive retail landscapes. By combining educational displays with curated collections, the event highlights the growing interest in lab-grown diamonds within the jewellery market.
