This February, the esteemed French jewellery brand, Van Cleef & Arpels, is set to enchant the shores of Singapore with its watchmaking exhibition, “A Journey Through the Poetry of Time.”
Hosted at the Sands Expo, Marina Bay Sands from February 12 to 20, the exhibition is an ode to the Maison’s cherished sources of inspiration including love stories, fairies and ballerinas, Poetic Astronomy, and Enchanting Nature.
As visitors step into this immersive realm, they will find themselves transported to the picturesque streets of Paris. The meticulously designed space houses several uniquely themed galleries, each narrating the brand’s illustrious journey over the years. One can explore the meticulous art of enamelling along with other intricate watchmaking processes, all displayed amidst a collection of timeless masterpieces and contemporary creations.
Central to the exhibition are Van Cleef & Arpels’ watches, showcased in four thematic universes: Love Stories, celebrated notably with the Pont des Amoureux collection; the whimsical world of Ballerinas and Fairies; the celestial realm of Poetic Astronomy; and the verdant wonder of Enchanting Nature. Each thematic universe is a testament to the brand’s ability to encapsulate the Poetry of Time unique to the Maison.
In a bid to foster creativity and make the event engaging for all ages, a series of workshops have been curated for young enthusiasts aged between 4 to 10 years old. From February 12 to 20, these workshops will provide a creative outlet for the young minds. Each participant will receive a welcome art kit, filled with foldable paper inspired by iconic landmarks of Paris. This kit will enable them to craft their very own 3D model of Paris, a wonderful opportunity for children to unleash their creative potential. Entry to these workshops is on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring a fair chance for all interested.
The exhibition is open to the general public and admission is free, albeit strictly by reservation. This is not just an exhibition but a journey— a journey through the Poetry of Time that showcases the brand’s evolution, its mastery over the art of jewelry and watchmaking, and its continued pursuit of poetic elegance in design.
